Licensed as a salesperson in 1984 and as a broker in 1986, Craig has been involved in real estate for 25 years. He has owned companies in the U.S. as well as in the Virgin Islands where he was president of the St. Thomas, St. John Association of Realtors in 1986 in addition to being president of the Virgin Islands Territorial Association of Realtors in 1988. Craig was also a NAR director from 1988 – 1990 and Realtor of the Year in 1989.
From 1992 – 1996, Craig was the General Manager of American Yacht Harbor. Hurricane Marilyn in 1995 was responsible for massive damage to over 80% of the docks, both fuel docks and 58% of the retail space and it took a tremendous amount of dedication and re-construction to re-open in record time.
After a brief foray into television, Craig returned to his real estate roots and was a partner in a small boutique company specializing in condo sales and construction in Delray Beach, FL from 1999 to 2001 and was successfully bought out by a subsidiary of the Platinum Condominium Group in Miami.
From 2001 – 2003 Craig was Vice President of Franchise Sales Development for Real Estate for Buy Owner, Inc. and was responsible for securing franchise partners, opening, training and hiring all personnel from general manager to sales personnel in Chicago, Houston, New Orleans, Louisville and Baltimore. In this role, he increased revenues from $800K per month to $2.6M in two years.
In 2003 he joined Realogy Corporation as a Senior Franchise Sales Director for Coldwell Banker in Florida and Georgia. During his tenure at Realogy, he was ranked in the top five nationally in sales volume every year and was Coldwell Banker franchise sales director of the year in 2005 and 2006. Craig was responsible for growing the Coldwell Banker brand in both states and sold in excess of $40M in gross commission income, an increase in over $1M per year in royalty fees to the company in addition to being a proficient facilitator of dozens of merger and acquisitions deals.
Craig resides in Windermere (Orlando), Florida and proudly declares a 12 handicap on the golf course. Honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1974, Craig spent 2 years in Germany and speaks German and enjoys boating, volunteer work and an active lifestyle outdoors.
