2007
PCMS Consulting was founded by industry veteran, Jose Perez, in July 2007. Having been involved in the growth of several national franchise organizations including Coldwell Banker, CENTURY 21, and ERA, as well as helping hundreds of independent brokerages around the country throughout his career, Jose sensed the timing was perfect for an organization that could consolidate multiple consulting services under one banner to address the needs of brokerages in an unprecedented time of change.
Prior to PCMS, brokerages attempting to address multiple challenges could choose from numerous industry consultants that typically specialized in one discipline or another or they could affiliate with a national franchise brand. The PCMS model gave brokerages the opportunity to choose from its multiple solutions in the areas of recruiting, internet, and management or the ability to affiliate with new, refreshing, and innovative brands that are addressing the needs today’s consumer, agent, and broker.
The company’s first client, Intero Real Estate Services, a very innovative real estate brokerage and international franchise company based in Silicon Valley, was an early indication of the types of companies we hoped we could associate ourselves with to help our clients navigate through the seismic changes that were occurring in our industry. We positioned ourselves as an innovative, technology-oriented partner always striving to REinvent itself and its clients.
2008
While the industry was beginning to feel the early effects of the recession in early 2008, we were putting together a team of senior level, highly respected industry veterans. Our goal was, and continues to be, to provide innovative solutions that leading real estate companies require to maintain and enhance their market position and profitability.
We identified recruiting, internet, management, and franchising as having the most impact in helping a brokerage REinvent itself and brought in the pros that could help our clients in these areas. The team includes former brokerage owners, national franchise brand presidents, senior vice presidents, and senior level brand consultants that have worked for large independents and national organizations such as Coldwell Banker, CENTURY 21, ERA, Sotheby’s International Realty, Weichert, Keller Williams, and Re/Max.
2009
As the dramatic turn of events in late 2008 and early 2009 began to unfold, we were busy expanding. We recruited our initial team of five business development personnel the first quarter of 2009. The team includes senior sales people and consultants from various national brands.
We also signed our first two technology partnerships. The first in April with Terabitz, a highly regarded, Silicon Valley based enterprise website company and the second in August with AlignMark, a 30 year old provider of lead generation, CRM, and simulation tools for recruiting real estate agents. These two partnerships put us in a position to expand the solutions we offered our clients.
These events put us in a position to launch our popular Camp REinvent™ program and provide our solutions to well known, multi-office brokerages throughout the country. Furthermore, our model of providing multiple solutions proved itself as many of these same clients came back to us again and again to help them in areas other than what they had originally engaged us for.
2010
Our momentum flowed into 2010 as we expanded of our Total Recruiting Solutions? program and signed two more technology partnerships that further enhanced our internet solutions group, In order to help our clients address the incredible need to respond to internet leads more effectively, we entered into a partnership with 1CAVO to provide rapid response to internet leads. We also partnered with Digital Closing Docs.net to provide an internet based, post closing marketing program that helps our clients who own title agencies increase order count and conversions.
As a result of our innovative real estate solutions and partnerships, while many in the industry continued to struggle, PCMS Consulting doubled in size and looks for continued growth in 2011.
