A native of Madrid, Spain, Alfonso has been involved in international real estate since 1998 when he began his real estate career as a sales associate in that city. He quickly established a reputation as a professional capable of taking on additional responsibilities in a fast changing market that was in the process of embracing American real estate brands.
In 1999, Alfonso became the Franchise Sales and Regional Service Director for CENTURY 21 Iberia, the master franchisee for CENTURY 21 in Spain. He was responsible for franchise sales in the central area of Spain also providing support to the existing offices in Madrid. After a short time, he became the first Chief Operating Officer for CENTURY 21 Spain in charge of all the franchisee support areas including technology, administration, training, management, awards, and preferred alliances.
After a brief stint consulting for Coldwell Banker Europe as they entered the market in Spain in 2002, Alfonso began consulting for Cendant Global Services in Spain as they transitioned from one ownership group to another with the CENTURY 21 brand. He was then retained to be the C.O.O. of the new group, Globalia Intermediación Inmobiliaria. In 2006, he was recruited by Fajardo Limited, the ERA master franchisee for Spain, to serve in a similar capacity reporting directly to the President.
Alfonso has attained invaluable experience in the start-up and consolidation of master franchise companies, operations, and real estate development in addition to building relationships with many European and Latin American real estate and franchise companies.
Alfonso is responsible for offering PCMS’ broad array of services overseas. In addition, he helps U.S. real estate and franchise companies with their expansion plans abroad and international real estate and franchise companies bring their concepts to the U.S.
Alfonso lives in Madrid with his wife of eight years and their two children aged seven and three.
