A nationally recognized expert in franchise sales, Jose has been responsible for affiliating, through conversion or acquisition, hundreds of companies representing millions of dollars worth of royalty fees during his franchising career. In addition, as an authority in the area of acquisitions, mergers, and exit strategies for the nation’s real estate brokerage companies, he is often sought out for commentary and advice on the topic.
Jose formed PCMS Consulting in July 2007 with the goal of providing a “one stop shop” for consulting services in the real estate and franchising industry. Jose has an M.B.A. in Real Estate from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.B.A. in Finance and Economics from the University of Miami.
From 1994 - 2007 he held positions of increasing responsibility with the largest real estate organization in the world, Realogy Corporation, parent company of some of the best-known brands in the real estate industry. In his last position with the company, he was Senior Vice President, Franchise Sales and Acquisitions, for CENTURY 21, Coldwell Banker, and ERA in addition to being intimately involved in developing and presenting at Realogy’s Franchise Sales and M&A Academies.
Jose was born in Cuba and immigrated to New York City in 1962. He has also lived in New Jersey, South America, Florida, Texas, and Georgia where he currently resides with his wife of 21 years and two boys aged 19 and 14. He was on the inaugural board of directors for the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals.
In addition to driving the growth of PCMS Consulting through his business development efforts, Jose specializes in the design and implementation of sales strategies; managing sales forces; organization, business planning, and interim management; and seminars/training related to all these areas as well as multi-cultural and diversity issues.
